Harrisburg Industrializes: The Coming of Factories to an American Community by Gerald G. Eggert,

In 1850, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was a community like many others in the U.S., employing most of its citizens in trade philadelphia pennsylvania employment and commerce.
